Description

This Baked Honey Dijon Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines the sweet richness of honey and the tangy sharpness of Dijon mustard. Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts or thighs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse and pat dry the chicken. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, garlic, and olive oil until smooth.
  4. Generously coat the chicken with the marinade and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  5. Place the chicken in a baking dish and brush it with extra marinade.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Optional: Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves before serving.

Notes

  • For juicier results, use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
  • You can make the marinade ahead of time and store it in the fridge.
  • If you prefer a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the marinade.
