Ingredients
Scale
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2/3 cup Buffalo hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Shake off any excess batter.
- Spread cauliflower in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- In a separate bowl, stir together melted butter and buffalo sauce.
- Remove cauliflower from oven, toss with the buffalo sauce mixture, then return to the baking sheet.
- Bake for an additional 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and browned.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use parchment paper or a wire rack to help prevent sticking and improve crispiness.
- To make it vegan, substitute butter with melted coconut oil or a plant-based alternative.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
- Adjust spice level by choosing a milder buffalo sauce or mixing in yogurt or honey.
