Description

Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls are a simple and delicious dish that combines shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, and a creamy sauce, all wrapped in buttery crescent rolls. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal, lunch, or a savory snack, these rolls are a family favorite that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 packages Pillsbury crescent rolls (8 count each)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and oregano. Stir well to combine.
  3. Unroll each crescent roll and place about 1/3 cup of the chicken mixture at the wide end of the dough. Roll up the crescent rolls to seal in the filling. Repeat for all crescent rolls.
  4. Place the filled crescent rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a saucepan, heat the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cream of chicken soup, and milk over medium heat, stirring until the cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  6. Pour the soup mixture over the crescent rolls, covering them completely.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the mixture is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a creamier filling, add 4 tablespoons of cream cheese to the chicken mixture.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken or canned chicken for convenience.
  • If you prefer, add vegetables like broccoli or spinach for extra nutrients.
  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled to serve more people.
  • For a crispy, golden top, broil the rolls for 1-2 minutes at the end of the baking time.
