Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Heavy cream
- 1 cup Whole milk
- 2/3 cup Organic cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 pinch Salt
- 15 Oreo cookies (crushed)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, sugar, and salt. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, mixing gently with a spatula. No need to whisk further.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours to chill.
- Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- After about 20 minutes of churning, add the crushed Oreo cookies and continue churning for another 5 minutes.
- If you prefer soft-serve consistency, enjoy immediately. For firmer ice cream, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 5-6 hours.
Notes
- If using a compressor ice cream maker, pre-chill the bowl for 5-10 minutes for faster churning.
- Crush the Oreos into chunks using a food processor for even distribution.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.
