- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Microwave the cream cheese in small cubes until softened, then set aside.
- Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thinner cutlets. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and sauté onions for 5-7 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth, then add cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to warm through and soak in the creamy sauce. Adjust the sauce with additional broth if needed.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

- If the sauce is too thick, add more chicken broth or water until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F to ensure it’s fully cooked.
