Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 clove minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Spray a 3½ to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray or lightly grease it with oil.
  2. Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper, then place them in the slow cooker in a single layer as much as possible.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, vegetable oil, ketchup, and minced garlic until smooth.
  4. Pour the honey-garlic mixture evenly over the chicken wings, coating them well.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Then reduce heat to low and cook for 4–5 more hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  6. Preheat the oven broiler and line a baking sheet with foil. Transfer wings to the sheet with tongs or a slotted spoon.
  7. Broil the wings about 3 inches from the heat for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and slightly crispy.
  8. Serve warm with extra sauce from the slow cooker for dipping.
