Ingredients
Scale
- 5 ounces sugar cones (about 12 cones)
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- ½ cup Smucker’s Magic Shell chocolate (divided)
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- ¼ cup caramel sauce
- ¼ cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
- Crush the sugar cones using a food processor or rolling pin until they become coarse crumbs. Add melted butter and pulse until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan. Freeze for 10-15 minutes to set.
- Drizzle half of the Smucker’s Magic Shell chocolate over the crust. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- Soften the vanilla ice cream and spread half of it on top of the hardened chocolate. Freeze for 10-15 minutes.
- Pour caramel sauce over the vanilla ice cream, spreading it to the edges. Freeze for another 10-15 minutes.
- Spread the second half of the vanilla ice cream over the caramel layer. Freeze for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Top the ice cream with the remaining Magic Shell chocolate. Quickly sprinkle chopped peanuts on top before the chocolate hardens. Freeze for at least one hour before serving.
Notes
- If you don’t have a food processor, crush the sugar cones in a large Ziploc bag using a rolling pin.
- If you don’t have a springform pan, a 9-inch pie plate can be used.
- For a sweeter crust, you can add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to the crushed sugar cones.
- This recipe can be made ahead and stored in the freezer for up to a week.
