Fluffy Hawaiian sweet rolls filled with creamy garlic cheese, baked to golden perfection with a buttery garlic glaze. Perfect for beginners and ready in 30 minutes.

- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp green onion, diced
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic, minced (for filling)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (for filling)
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped (for butter)
- 1 tsp garlic, minced (for butter)
- 1/2 tsp salt (for butter)
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature for easy mixing.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, green onion, parsley, garlic, onion powder, salt, and sugar. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- Transfer the filling to a piping bag or ziplock bag with the corner snipped off. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt to make the garlic butter.
- Make a crosscut on each roll, slicing about halfway down to divide into four connected sections.
- Fill each crosscut with the cream cheese mixture using the piping bag or a spoon.
- Brush garlic butter over the tops of the stuffed rolls.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 13–15 minutes or until golden brown and the filling is melted.
- Remove from oven, brush with any remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
Notes
- If cream cheese is too stiff, microwave it in 10-second intervals to soften.
- Use a spoon if you don’t have a piping or ziplock bag.
- Tent with foil during baking if the tops brown too quickly.
- Filling can be made up to 3 days ahead and refrigerated.
