Description

This honey apricot and almond goat cheese spread is a quick, elegant appetizer that combines creamy goat cheese, sweet apricots, crunchy almonds, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for holidays, parties, or casual gatherings, it’s a versatile crowd-pleaser served with crackers, fruit, or fresh bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz goat cheese or cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup lightly salted almonds
  • 45 dried apricots, chopped
  • 23 tsp fresh chopped parsley or basil
  • 1/41/2 cup apricot preserves
  • Honey for drizzling
  • Assorted crackers
  • Fresh sliced Granny Smith apple

Instructions

  1. Remove goat cheese from packaging and let soften at room temperature.
  2. Spread apricot preserves on a cheese tray or serving platter.
  3. Place almonds in a bag or between two paper towels and crush using a rolling pin or bottle.
  4. Chop dried apricots and mix with crushed almonds and fresh herbs.
  5. Roll softened goat cheese in the almond-apricot-herb mixture, pressing gently to coat.
  6. Set coated goat cheese log on top of the apricot preserves.
  7. Arrange crackers and fresh apple slices around the cheese.
  8. Drizzle generously with honey before serving.

Notes

  • Swap apricots for fig preserves for a rich, earthy variation.
  • Honey-roasted almonds or pecans can be used for different flavors.
  • Prepare the cheese log in advance and refrigerate, adding honey just before serving.
  • Leftovers taste great on bagels or croissants with extra honey.
