Description

Honey Butter Skillet Corn is a creamy, buttery side dish made in one skillet with sweet corn, rich butter, honey, and a smooth cream sauce. It is quick to prepare, comforting, and perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups frozen corn kernels: sweet and juicy base of the dish
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter: adds richness and flavor
  • 2 tablespoons honey: enhances natural sweetness
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, cubed: thickens and enriches the sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream: creates a creamy texture
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt: balances sweetness and richness
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper: adds mild warmth

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the frozen corn kernels and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  3. Drizzle the honey over the corn and stir well to coat evenly.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the cream cheese and heavy cream.
  5. Stir continuously until the cream cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper, adjust to taste, and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes

  • Lower the heat before adding dairy to prevent the sauce from separating.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of milk or cream to loosen it.
  • Fresh corn or well-drained canned corn can be used instead of frozen.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
