Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (32-ounce) bag Tater Tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
- 8 ounces lean ground beef (optional) or 2 cups leftover taco meat
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (optional)
- 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes
- 4 green onions, sliced
- ½ cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If using ground beef, cook it in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning and ¼ cup water. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until the liquid evaporates.
- Arrange Tater Tots on the baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20 minutes, turning halfway.
- Top with cooked beef, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, green onions, and sour cream. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce as a topping.
- If using the air fryer, cook Tater Tots at 400°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
- To reheat leftovers, bake them in the oven at 375°F for 10–12 minutes to retain crispiness.
- Feel free to swap ground beef with leftover taco meat or go vegetarian by adding extra veggies.
