Description

Mozzarella Cheese Skulls are a fun, spooky, and cheesy Halloween snack made with melted mozzarella molded into skull shapes. Easy to prepare and perfect for parties, these festive bites are kid-friendly, customizable, and delicious when paired with your favorite dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Cooking spray (for molds)
  • Skull silicone mold
  • Optional: garlic powder, Italian herbs, chili flakes for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray the skull silicone mold with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Place shredded mozzarella cheese in a microwave-safe bowl with water.
  3. Microwave in short intervals, stirring until cheese is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Spoon melted mozzarella into each skull cavity, pressing to fill details.
  5. Level the tops with the back of a spoon for an even surface.
  6. Refrigerate or freeze molds until the cheese firms up.
  7. Carefully unmold the Mozzarella Cheese Skulls and arrange on a serving platter.
  8. Serve with marinara, ranch, or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Do not overheat mozzarella or it may turn rubbery.
  • Fresh mozzarella provides a creamier texture but may need extra pressing in molds.
  • Best served fresh or stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Not recommended for freezing as texture may change.
