Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz crescent rolls
- 10 hot dogs, cut in half
- 1 package candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface, pressing the perforations to seal it into one long rectangle.
- Cut the dough into thin slices, about ¼ inch thick.
- Wrap each hot dog with the dough, leaving a gap for the eyes. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and immediately place the candy eyes using a small dab of ketchup to stick them on.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- If you’re using whole hot dogs, they may need a slightly longer baking time.
- For a fun twist, you can make cyclops mummies by using only one candy eye.
- These can be made ahead of time by preparing them up to the point of baking and refrigerating them.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute gluten-free crescent rolls and ensure the hot dogs are gluten-free.
