This NO BAKE BANANA PUDDING DESSERT is a creamy, layered treat made with instant vanilla pudding, fresh banana slices, whipped topping, and crunchy vanilla wafers. It’s an easy no-bake dessert that comes together fast and chills into a cool, crowd-pleasing classic.

- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), divided
- 3 large bananas, sliced (about 1/2-inch thick)
- 1 (11 oz) box vanilla wafer cookies (such as Nilla Wafers), divided
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients. You will need a large mixing bowl, a whisk, a spoon or spatula, and a 9×13-inch dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with the cold milk until smooth and thickened, with no lumps.
- Whisk in half of the whipped topping (about 4 oz) until the pudding mixture is creamy and well combined.
- Set aside 6 vanilla wafer cookies for topping. Arrange the remaining cookies in an even layer across the bottom of the 9×13-inch dish.
- Add a single layer of sliced bananas over the cookies.
- Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the bananas and spread it evenly with the back of a spoon or a spatula.
- Repeat the layers with remaining cookies, remaining banana slices, and the remaining pudding mixture, spreading evenly.
- Spread the remaining whipped topping (about 4 oz) over the top as the final layer.
- Crush the reserved cookies and sprinkle them over the top. If desired, garnish with a few extra banana slices right before serving.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) until chilled and set. Serve cold.
