Description

Pizza Tree on a Stick is a fun, festive holiday treat that combines the classic flavors of pizza with a creative tree shape. It’s perfect for kids and adults alike, offering a playful way to enjoy pizza on a stick during the holidays or any time of year.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 bamboo or wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Soak the bamboo skewers in water for about 20 minutes to prevent them from burning.
  2. Grease a flat surface with 2 tbsp of olive oil and roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  3. Cut the dough in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread tomato paste on one half of the dough and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Place the second half of the dough on top, pressing the sides to seal like a sandwich.
  6. Cut the dough into 5 long strips.
  7. Fold each strip into a zig-zag shape to form a tree. Insert a skewer into the center of each folded dough strip to shape it into a tree.
  8. Place the pizza trees on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve and enjoy your fun and festive Pizza Tree on a Stick!

Notes

  • For a different flavor, you can try adding cooked ham, spinach, or other fillings inside the dough.
  • If you want to make the recipe gluten-free, substitute with gluten-free pizza dough.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days and reheated in a toaster or oven.
