Description
A quick and creamy sausage cream cheese dip made with just 3 ingredients—perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day snacks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground pork sausage (hot or mild)
- 1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, cut into cubes
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the sausage, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Add the undrained Rotel to the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Cook for 1–2 minutes to warm through.
- Add cubed cream cheese to the skillet and stir until fully melted and the dip is smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately in a bowl or transfer to a slow cooker set to ‘warm’ for serving over time.
Notes
- Use mild sausage and mild Rotel to reduce spice.
- For extra cheesiness, add 1/2 to 1 cup of shredded cheddar.
- You can substitute Velveeta for cream cheese or use a blend of both.
- To make in a slow cooker, combine all ingredients after browning sausage and cook on HIGH for 1 hour, stirring every 15–20 minutes.
