Description

A quick and creamy sausage cream cheese dip made with just 3 ingredients—perfect for parties, potlucks, or game day snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (hot or mild)
  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the sausage, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the undrained Rotel to the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Cook for 1–2 minutes to warm through.
  3. Add cubed cream cheese to the skillet and stir until fully melted and the dip is smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve immediately in a bowl or transfer to a slow cooker set to ‘warm’ for serving over time.

Notes

  • Use mild sausage and mild Rotel to reduce spice.
  • For extra cheesiness, add 1/2 to 1 cup of shredded cheddar.
  • You can substitute Velveeta for cream cheese or use a blend of both.
  • To make in a slow cooker, combine all ingredients after browning sausage and cook on HIGH for 1 hour, stirring every 15–20 minutes.
