Description

This easy sheet pan Sausage & Sweet Potatoes with Honey Garlic Sauce is a quick and healthy meal perfect for busy weeknights. With simple ingredients and bold flavor, it’s ideal for beginner cooks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz chicken or turkey sausage, cut into ½-inch slices
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, cut into ½-inch cubes
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Sheet Pan: Preheat your oven to 400°F and lightly grease a large sheet pan. Arrange the sausage slices, sweet potatoes, and broccoli in a single layer to ensure everything roasts evenly.
  2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté just until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  3. Coat and Season the Ingredients: Drizzle the honey garlic sauce evenly over the sausage and vegetables on the sheet pan. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Roast to Perfection: Place the sheet pan in the oven and roast for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are fork-tender and the sausage is browned. The broccoli should be crisp-tender and lightly caramelized on the edges.
  5. Finish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top. Serve warm, either on its own or with a side of rice, quinoa, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the sheet pan for 1 to 2 minutes at the end of cooking.
  • You can double the sauce if you like it extra saucy.
  • To save time, use pre-chopped veggies or pre-cooked sausage.
  • If using raw sausage, cook it separately before adding it to the sheet pan.
