Description
Shamrock Pretzels are an easy no-bake St. Patrick’s Day treat made with mini pretzels, melted chocolate, and green candies. These festive sweet-and-salty bites come together in minutes and are perfect for parties, classrooms, or holiday dessert trays.
Ingredients
- Mini pretzels (24 pieces): provide a crunchy, salty base
- White chocolate melting wafers (1 cup / 170 g): acts as the sweet binder and coating
- Green M&M’s (72 pieces): create the shamrock shape and add color and sweetness
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the mini pretzels in a single layer.
- Melt the white chocolate melting wafers in the microwave using short intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Spoon about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into the center of each pretzel.
- Immediately place three green M&M’s around the edge of the pretzel to form a shamrock shape, gently pressing them into the chocolate.
- If desired, add one additional green M&M at the bottom to resemble a stem.
- Allow the pretzels to set at room temperature for about 15 minutes, or refrigerate for 10 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
- Once set, carefully remove the Shamrock Pretzels from the parchment paper and serve.
Notes
- Work quickly after melting the chocolate, as it sets fast.
- Milk or dark chocolate can be used instead of white chocolate.
- Use gluten-free pretzels to make this recipe gluten-free.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
