Description

Juicy skillet-seared chicken thighs coated in a creamy, spicy Bang Bang sauce. This quick and easy dinner is perfect for beginners and ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Bang Bang sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, and paprika. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken thighs.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs in a single layer. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Flip the chicken thighs, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate. Tent with foil to keep warm.
  5. Pour the Bang Bang sauce into the same skillet. Stir and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
  6. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and coat them thoroughly in the sauce. Heat for another minute or so.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts—just adjust the cook time.
  • Homemade Bang Bang sauce offers more control over the flavor, especially the spice level.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave with a splash of water if the sauce thickens.
