Description

This Creamy Turkey Casserole is the perfect way to transform holiday leftovers into a hearty, cheesy, and flavorful family dinner. With layers of stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and mozzarella, this creamy casserole is festive, comforting, and delicious.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups prepared stuffing, divided
  • 1 lb cooked turkey, coarsely chopped (about 4 cups)
  • 3/4 cup Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise, divided
  • 1/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Dried cranberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Spread half of the stuffing evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Top with the chopped turkey.
  4. Mix cranberry sauce with 1/4 cup mayonnaise and spread evenly over the turkey layer.
  5. In a bowl, combine the remaining mayonnaise with mashed potatoes and mozzarella cheese. Spread this mixture over the turkey and cranberry layer.
  6. Top with the remaining stuffing.
  7. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until hot and bubbling in the center.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with dried cranberries if desired.

Notes

  • Prepare up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Freeze unbaked casserole for up to 2 months; thaw before baking.
  • Substitute chicken for turkey if desired.
  • Add extra crunch by topping with panko breadcrumbs or crushed crackers.
