Crock Pot Cajun Chicken Pasta is a creamy, flavorful dish made with tender chicken, Cajun seasoning, and pasta. It’s perfect for a quick, easy, and comforting family meal with a little kick of spice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 4 cups Chicken Broth
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 pound Penne Pasta (uncooked)
- 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Place the chicken, heavy whipping cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning into a 6-quart crock pot. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred or dice it into large pieces.
- Whisk the sauce in the crock pot. Return the chicken to the crock pot and stir in the uncooked penne pasta.
- Cover and cook on high for 20-30 minutes until the pasta is tender and cooked through.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning or use a milder version.
- Shred the chicken easily with a hand mixer or stand mixer for quick results.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days.
- You can cook the pasta separately if desired, and then serve with the creamy chicken sauce on top.
