Description

Deviled eggs are a classic and versatile appetizer, perfect for any gathering. This recipe creates creamy, tangy, and flavorful deviled eggs, making them a crowd favorite. The combination of hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and paprika gives these eggs a rich texture and balanced flavor, with endless customization options.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and cover the pan. Let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Once the eggs are done, place them under cold running water and peel them carefully.
  3. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a medium bowl.
  4. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  6. Sprinkle paprika on top for garnish and serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the eggs to avoid a dry filling.
  • You can make deviled eggs a day in advance, just add the garnish right before serving.
  • For a healthier option, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • Feel free to add additional toppings like chives, bacon bits, or pickles for extra flavor.
