Description

Fresh and colorful Fruit Skewers made with juicy fruit and creamy cheese for an easy, healthy snack, party appetizer, or refreshing dessert. These fruit kabobs are quick to prepare, family-friendly, and customizable with seasonal ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 cup red grapes
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup honeydew melon, cubed
  • 1 cup cantaloupe, cubed
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
  • 10 wooden skewers (6 to 8 inches each)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Wash 1 cup strawberries, 1 cup green grapes, 1 cup red grapes, 1 cup pineapple chunks, 1 cup honeydew melon, and 1 cup cantaloupe thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Cut strawberries, pineapple, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, 8 ounces cheddar cheese, and 8 ounces mozzarella cheese into bite-sized pieces if needed.
  3. Thread measured portions of fruit and cheese onto 10 wooden skewers, alternating ingredients for balanced flavor and colorful presentation.
  4. Continue assembling until each skewer is filled, leaving a small handle space at the bottom for easier serving.
  5. Arrange the Fruit Skewers on a serving platter and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes before serving for the best freshness and texture.
  6. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon honey if desired before serving.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use firm, ripe fruit for the best texture and presentation.
  • Dry fruit thoroughly after washing to help ingredients stay secure on skewers.
  • Swap cheddar or mozzarella with equal amounts of Monterey Jack or Colby cheese if preferred.
  • Prepare Fruit Skewers up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate until serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Avoid freezing because fruit texture may become watery after thawing.
