Description
Garlic Butter Baked Chicken Breast is an easy, juicy, and flavorful chicken recipe with a rich garlic butter sauce. This recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prepping, delivering tender chicken with crispy edges.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper
- 1/2 + 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear each side for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and parsley.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken breasts in the skillet.
- Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the chicken before serving.
Notes
- Pat the chicken dry before seasoning to get a crispy sear.
- If you don’t have a cast iron skillet, use a regular skillet and transfer the chicken to an oven-safe dish.
- If you prefer a more buttery sauce, add an extra two tablespoons of butter.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain moisture.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through.
