  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 + 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear each side for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and parsley.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the chicken breasts in the skillet.
  5. Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the chicken before serving.

Notes

  • Pat the chicken dry before seasoning to get a crispy sear.
  • If you don’t have a cast iron skillet, use a regular skillet and transfer the chicken to an oven-safe dish.
  • If you prefer a more buttery sauce, add an extra two tablespoons of butter.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain moisture.
