- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add uncooked rice, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes, or until rice is tender and most liquid is absorbed.
- While the rice simmers, melt the remaining butter in a small saucepan. Stir in milk, shredded cheddar, and Parmesan cheese. Cook, stirring, until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the cheese sauce into the beef and rice skillet. Stir well to combine. Cook uncovered for 2 to 3 minutes, then top with fresh parsley before serving.

- If using brown rice, you will need to adjust the cooking time and add extra liquid.
- For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
