Description

Grilled Honey Balsamic Glazed Fruit is a simple summer dessert featuring juicy peaches or nectarines brushed with a sweet and tangy honey balsamic glaze, then grilled until caramelized and tender. Perfect served warm on its own or paired with vanilla ice cream for a light yet flavorful finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 dash salt
  • 6 medium peaches or nectarines, halved and pitted
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream per serving (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and salt over low heat. Stir for 2–3 minutes until blended.
  2. Reserve about 1/3 cup of the honey balsamic mixture for brushing onto the fruit during grilling.
  3. Bring the remaining glaze to a gentle boil over medium heat and cook for 4–6 minutes until slightly thickened. Do not overcook. Remove from heat.
  4. Preheat a grill to medium heat and lightly grease the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  5. Brush the cut sides of peaches or nectarines with some of the reserved glaze.
  6. Place fruit cut-side down on the grill and cook for 6–8 minutes per side, brushing occasionally with remaining glaze until caramelized and tender.
  7. Remove fruit from the grill and drizzle with the thickened balsamic glaze.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Choose ripe but firm peaches or nectarines for best grilling results.
  • Do not grill over high heat, as honey may burn quickly.
  • Try pineapple, pears, or plums as fruit alternatives.
  • Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Enjoy leftovers chilled or reheated over yogurt, pancakes, or oatmeal.
