Jalapeno Poppers are a perfect blend of spicy jalapenos, creamy cheese filling, and crispy bacon, baked to perfection for a satisfying appetizer or snack. These poppers are sure to be a hit at any gathering with their bold flavors and easy preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 12 large jalapenos
  • Optional: Garlic powder, paprika, green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each jalapeno lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and 2/3 of the crumbled bacon. Mix well.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into the hollowed-out jalapenos.
  5. Arrange the stuffed jalapenos in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  7. Top with the remaining crumbled bacon and serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer less heat, remove all the seeds and membranes from the jalapenos before stuffing them.
  • For a smoky flavor, add paprika or a bit of smoked paprika to the filling.
  • Feel free to prepare these in advance and refrigerate or freeze them until ready to bake.
