- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 12 large jalapenos
- Optional: Garlic powder, paprika, green onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Slice each jalapeno lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and 2/3 of the crumbled bacon. Mix well.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into the hollowed-out jalapenos.
- Arrange the stuffed jalapenos in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Top with the remaining crumbled bacon and serve immediately.
Notes
- If you prefer less heat, remove all the seeds and membranes from the jalapenos before stuffing them.
- For a smoky flavor, add paprika or a bit of smoked paprika to the filling.
- Feel free to prepare these in advance and refrigerate or freeze them until ready to bake.
