Description

Lemon Garlic Roasted Turkey Breast is a simple yet flavorful dish that combines bright citrusy lemon, savory garlic, and fresh herbs to create a juicy and tender turkey breast. Perfect for any occasion, this recipe is easy to prepare and delivers a mouthwatering roast every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Boneless Turkey Breast (3-4 pounds)
  • 2 large Lemons
  • 68 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (Rosemary, Thyme, Sage)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 cup White Wine or Chicken Broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the turkey breast by patting it dry with paper towels. Place it in a roasting pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the zest and juice of one lemon, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix to form a paste.
  3. Rub the lemon garlic herb mixture over the turkey, ensuring it gets under the skin for deeper flavor.
  4. Slice the remaining lemon and place the slices around the turkey in the pan.
  5. If using, pour white wine or chicken broth into the bottom of the pan to create steam during roasting.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roast the turkey for 1 to 1.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Baste the turkey with pan juices every 20-30 minutes for added moisture (optional).
  8. Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes before carving to ensure the juices redistribute.
  9. Carve the turkey against the grain and serve with pan juices for extra flavor.

Notes

  • For added juiciness, brine the turkey before roasting. Soak it in a saltwater solution with lemon slices and garlic for a few hours.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Leftovers can be used in sandwiches, salads, or soups.
  • For extra crispiness, opt for skin-on turkey breast.
