Description
Crispy parmesan crusted chicken topped with melted mozzarella and garlic, perfect for beginners seeking an easy sheet pan dinner packed with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned recommended)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish. Prepare three shallow bowls for dredging: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, half the Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Pat the chicken dry and dredge each breast in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mix. Press gently to ensure the coating sticks.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer them to the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic. Spoon the mixture evenly over the chicken. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and melt.
- Chicken thighs can be used for extra juiciness.
- Tent with foil if cheese browns too quickly.
- To add spice, mix red pepper flakes into the breadcrumb coating or use pepper jack cheese instead of mozzarella.
