Description

Mini tiramisu cups are a no-bake, beginner-friendly dessert featuring layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone, perfect for entertaining or everyday indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 package ladyfingers (savoiardi biscuits)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings or grated chocolate (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese until smooth, then gently fold in the whipped cream until fully combined.
  3. Prepare the coffee syrup by combining cooled brewed coffee, coffee liqueur (if using), and sugar (if desired) in a shallow dish and stir until sugar dissolves.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee syrup for 1–2 seconds, then place 1–2 in the bottom of each mini cup.
  5. Spoon or pipe a layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out with a spoon.
  6. Repeat the layering process with more dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone cream, depending on cup size.
  7. Dust the top layer with unsweetened cocoa powder and optional grated chocolate.
  8. Chill the assembled cups in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use decaf coffee if avoiding caffeine.
  • Substitute ladyfingers with sponge cake or graham crackers if needed.
  • Don’t over-soak the ladyfingers to prevent sogginess.
  • These cups taste better after chilling overnight.
  • Vegan alternatives can be used for cream and cheese.
