Description
This easy Monkey Bread is a gooey, buttery pull-apart treat made with soft biscuit dough pieces coated in cinnamon sugar and baked in a rich brown sugar caramel sauce. Perfect for brunch, holidays, or dessert, this Monkey Bread is warm, sticky, and irresistibly shareable.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons (5 g) ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (220 g) packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup (170 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 10–12 cup bundt pan to prevent sticking.
- Cut each biscuit into quarters to create bite-sized pieces for easy pull-apart texture.
- In a large zip-top bag, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Add the biscuit pieces and shake until evenly coated.
- Layer the coated dough pieces evenly into the prepared bundt pan without packing them too tightly.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Pour the warm brown sugar and butter mixture evenly over the dough pieces in the bundt pan, allowing it to seep between the layers.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is fully cooked. If browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
- Remove from the oven and let the Monkey Bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Carefully invert onto a serving plate and serve warm.
Notes
- Grease the bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking, especially in the crevices.
- Allow the Monkey Bread to rest before flipping to help the caramel settle.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 15–20 seconds for best texture.
- Add 1/2 cup (60 g) chopped pecans or walnuts for added crunch.
