Description

This easy Monkey Bread is a gooey, buttery pull-apart treat made with soft biscuit dough pieces coated in cinnamon sugar and baked in a rich brown sugar caramel sauce. Perfect for brunch, holidays, or dessert, this Monkey Bread is warm, sticky, and irresistibly shareable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons (5 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (220 g) packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup (170 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 10–12 cup bundt pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters to create bite-sized pieces for easy pull-apart texture.
  3. In a large zip-top bag, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Add the biscuit pieces and shake until evenly coated.
  4. Layer the coated dough pieces evenly into the prepared bundt pan without packing them too tightly.
  5. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and slightly thickened.
  6. Pour the warm brown sugar and butter mixture evenly over the dough pieces in the bundt pan, allowing it to seep between the layers.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is fully cooked. If browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the Monkey Bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Carefully invert onto a serving plate and serve warm.

Notes

  • Grease the bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking, especially in the crevices.
  • Allow the Monkey Bread to rest before flipping to help the caramel settle.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 15–20 seconds for best texture.
  • Add 1/2 cup (60 g) chopped pecans or walnuts for added crunch.
