Description

Oreo Cookie Balls are a quick, no-bake dessert made with just three simple ingredients: Oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate. These bite-sized truffles are rich, creamy, and perfect for holidays, parties, or edible gifting. Easy to customize with different toppings, they’re a fun and delicious treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 regular Oreo cookies: crushed for rich chocolate flavor and texture
  • 56 oz cream cheese (softened): binds the mixture and adds creaminess
  • 1012 oz chocolate of choice: for dipping and coating
  • Optional: decorations like sprinkles, crushed Oreos, nuts, or candy

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Crush Oreo cookies using a food processor or by hand with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  3. Add softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and blend until a smooth, dough-like mixture forms. Add more cream cheese if needed.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Chill the balls in the refrigerator or freezer for 15–20 minutes.
  6. While chilling, melt your chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring frequently.
  7. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate using a fork. Tap off excess chocolate and place back onto the baking sheet.
  8. Immediately add toppings like sprinkles or crushed Oreos before the chocolate sets.
  9. Refrigerate for another 10–15 minutes until the chocolate coating is firm.
  10. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreos (not double-stuffed) for better texture and binding.
  • Bar chocolate melts better than chocolate chips for a smoother coating.
  • Chill the balls before dipping to prevent them from falling apart.
  • Use a cookie scoop for even-sized balls.
  • Decorate immediately after dipping for toppings to stick well.
