Description

These Oreo Shamrock Shake Cookies combine the rich flavor of Oreos, the refreshing minty taste of Shamrock shakes, and a soft, chewy texture. Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any occasion, these cookies are quick to make and always a hit with mint and chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Vanilla Cake Mix
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon Mint Extract
  • Green Food Coloring (few drops)
  • 1 package Oreo Cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup White Chocolate Chips
  • Powdered Sugar (optional, for crinkle coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and oil or melted butter. Stir until dough forms.
  3. Add mint extract and green food coloring. Mix until dough turns a light green color.
  4. Fold in crushed Oreos and white chocolate chips.
  5. Optional: Roll dough balls in powdered sugar for a crinkle effect.
  6. Scoop dough into balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly set and centers are soft.
  8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Do not overbake the cookies; they should remain soft in the center.
  • If you don’t have mint extract, peppermint extract is a great alternative.
  • For a stronger mint flavor, add a few more drops of mint extract or peppermint chips.
  • Chill the dough for 20 minutes before baking to prevent spreading and ensure thicker cookies.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze them for later use.
