Description

A refreshing homemade peach lemonade made with fresh peaches, lemons, sugar, and water—perfect for summer and easy enough for beginner cooks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large ripe peaches (about 20 oz), peeled and sliced
  • 1.5 cups white granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups water (for peach syrup)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 56 lemons)
  • 2 cups cold water (to dilute lemonade)

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the ripe peaches, removing the pits. Place the peaches in a medium saucepan along with sugar, vanilla extract, and 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring the peach mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce to medium-low and cook until the peaches are soft and fragrant, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Juice the lemons and strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp. Set the lemon juice aside.
  4. Once the peach syrup is cool, strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher. You may leave some peach slices in if desired.
  5. Add the strained lemon juice and 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Refrigerate the lemonade until cold and serve over ice. Garnish with peach or lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • Frozen or canned peaches can be used as a substitute for fresh—just thaw or drain them first.
  • Let lemons come to room temperature or microwave for 10 seconds to extract more juice.
  • Add fresh herbs like mint or ginger for flavor variations.
  • You can freeze the lemonade concentrate (peach syrup + lemon juice) and mix with water later.
