Ingredients
- Rhubarb: 4 cups (about 4 stalks), chopped
- Apples: 4 medium, peeled and chopped

- Butter: 1/2 cup (115g), cold and cubed
- Flour: 1 cup (125g)
- Oats: 1/2 cup (45g)
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon (2g)
- Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon (15ml)
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon (8g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, and sugar. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased 9×9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the fruit.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the crumble topping to ensure a light, crispy texture.
- If the topping gets too dark, cover the crumble with foil during the last few minutes of baking.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven.
- Make-ahead options: Assemble the crumble and refrigerate before baking, adding 10-15 minutes to the bake time when cooking from cold.
