Description

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak Meatballs are an easy, comforting meal that combines tender frozen meatballs with a rich brown gravy. It’s the perfect dish for busy weeknights and is incredibly versatile. Serve it over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a hearty family meal.

Ingredients

  • Frozen Meatballs (1 package, about 24-30 meatballs): Serve as the base of the dish.
  • Beef Gravy Mix (1 packet): Adds a savory richness to the gravy.
  • Lipton Onion Soup Mix (1 packet): Enhances flavor with a robust, savory profile.
  • Beef Broth (1 cup): Helps create a rich, flavorful sauce.
  • Worcestershire Sauce (2 tablespoons): Adds umami depth to the gravy.
  • Garlic Powder (1 teaspoon): Brings a mild, aromatic garlic flavor.
  • Onion Powder (1 teaspoon): Adds subtle savory depth to the dish.

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the beef gravy mix, Lipton onion soup mix, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once done, check the meatballs for doneness and the gravy consistency. If needed, add a bit of water to adjust the thickness of the sauce.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free meatballs and beef broth.
  • If the gravy is too thick, add extra beef broth to reach the desired consistency.
  • To make ahead, prepare the dish and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
